Hull headlines ’08 class for U.S. HHOF

EVELETH, Minn. — Brett Hull and longtime New York Rangers Brian Leetch and Mike Richter are members of the 2008 class of the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.

The four-member group announced Tuesday also includes Cammi Granato, the all-time scoring leader for the U.S. women’s hockey team with 343 points in 205 games.

Brodeur headlines nominees for Vezina

TORONTO — Martin Brodeur is eyeing his fourth career Vezina Trophy and while he doesn’t have Roberto Luongo to worry about this year, Evgeni Nabokov is a serious threat.

The NHL announced the Vezina Trophy nominees Monday and Brodeur was again among the finalists for goaltender of the year. The New Jersey Devils star was joined for the first time by Nabokov of the San Jose Sharks and for the third consecutive season by Henrik Lundqvist of the New York Rangers.
